NMBA-6336 Global Environment for
Business (MG 726)

Representative Course Description:
This course will examine the global business environment and its impact
on an organization's business strategy. Special attention will be given to
the complexities that arise due to highly diversified markets and business
environments.
Representative Course Objectives:
Students will demonstrate an understanding of:
- key concepts and theories related to international trade and foreign
direct investment;
- contrasting political/legal, cultural, social, financial, and
competitive environments throughout the highly industrialized and
developing economies of the world;
- regional and global trade agreements and prospects for their
expansion and change in the future;
- necessary adaptations in marketing, financial, human resources, and
supply chain management strategies as the business moves to cross-border
operations;
- current global and country-specific business conditions;
strategies and implications of off-shoring jobs and corporate
sites
