NEEM-6491 Introduction to
Nanotechnologies Note: The following provides a suggested course description, objectives, and an outline. These may be modified pending discussion with the Faculty Chairs, proposing faculty, and other curriculum reviewers. Course Description: An overview of the physics and technologies associated with producing nanometer-sized components. Looks at selected topics from solid state physics, chemistry, materials science, and IC fabrication technologies. Examines the potential structures and applications of various types of nanodevices; considers public concerns about the danger of nanotechnologies.
