Processing Note: The following provides a suggested course description, objectives, and an outline. These may be modified pending discussion with the Faculty Chairs, proposing faculty, and other curriculum reviewers. Course Description: This course provides an introduction to digital image processing. Topics include 2-D Fourier Transform, quantization, image enhancement and image transforms, 2-D Wiener and 2-D Kalman filters, image compression schemes including lossless compression, wavelet transforms and compression, and image reconstruction.
