Course Description: This course examines the needs of clinical medicine and reviews system and approaches that are currently used to satisfy those needs. Further topics include the nature of clinical data, architecture and design of medical information systems, patient privacy and security  issues, medical expert systems, and embedded applications in medical equipment.
