NCSC-6511 Artificial Life Note: The following provides a suggested course description, objectives, and an outline. These may be modified pending discussion with the Faculty Chairs, proposing faculty, and other curriculum reviewers. Course Description: This course examines the design and construction of software environments and organisms that are subject to mutation and selection pressures leading to evolution of the organisms. Such computational techniques find applications in the study of biology and social systems, and the study of self-evolving software.
