Contributing Scholar Faculty
Compensation Guidelines
- Course Development: Contributing Scholar Faculty will receive a combination of a "down payment" plus a twice annual "residual payment." The residual payments are based on a percentage of the non-refunded tuition paid for the course during that period. The residual payment percentage is inversely proportional to the size of the down payment. The combination of down payment plus residual payment will not exceed $250,000 over the life of the course.
- Ongoing Support: CS Faculty will be compensated at an agreed-upon percentage of the non-refunded tuition for ongoing support. Ongoing support consists of tasks such as: exam writing, assignment creation, Part-time Faculty interaction/grade review, and student interaction. Optionally,CS faculty may negotiate for ongoing support to be provided by someone other than the development faculty.
-
Course Revisions: CS Faculty will be compensated for course revisions when agreed upon by the CS Faculty member and NTU.
